Acupuncture
Often used for pain management, digestive disorders, anxiety, stress relief, fertility, gynecological conditions, and more.
Initial consults will be about 90 minutes - allowing time to meet and discuss patient’s concerns and desired results. Standard appointments are an average of 60 minutes. Each standard acupuncture appointment may also include cupping, gua sha, and/or moxa as needed.
Cupping
Cupping is beneficial for those who experience tight, achy, and painful muscles. In addition, this method of treatment has been used to resolve respiratory issues, menstrual and abdominal pain, and to reduce inflammation. Cupping increases circulation and blood flow, which opens the body’s channels to receive natural pain relief. Capri Acupuncture provides both fire and plastic cupping.
Craniosacral Therapy
Similar to acupuncture, Cransiosacral Therapy (CST) increases the flow of energy within the channels. CST is a gentle hand technique, which examines the body and the movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system. CST provides relief from a variety of symptoms including headaches, neck pain, and side effects of cancer treatment among many others.
Gua Sha and Moxibustion
Gua sha is a stimulation of the skin with a flat instrument, which increases Qi (chi) and blood flow to certain areas. Gua sha can help relieve symptoms of the common cold, sinus infection, runny nose, or cough in the early stages. Since gua sha is effective to move the Qi and blood, it is also effective in alleviating musculoskeletal pain.
Moxibustion is a herb burned on or near the body to promote blood circulation and warmth. Moxa is NOT available at all locations. Please contact Kristen ahead of time if this is the service you are seeking.
