More About Kristen

Kristen was introduced to East Asian Medicine in high school when she had multiple herniated discs in her low back. The pain was so severe she wasn’t able to attend school for a period of time, let alone sleep through the night. Multiple opioids & steroid injections were only helping temporarily. Physical therapy was helping improve mobility but the pain severity maintained. Her family was referred to an acupuncturist from friends. From the very first acupuncture treatment, Kristen was able to fall into a deep relaxed state allowing her to fall asleep naturally for the first time in weeks. With help from her acupuncturist, she was able to get back into athletics year round.

Kristen completed her 4 years acupuncture masters program in Seattle, Washington at Bastyr University. Completing over 3,500 clinical hours that included diagnosis, herbal studies, acupuncture, techniques, ethics etc. She graduated with a masters in East Asian Medicine & certified with the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine) soon after. After graduation, she worked for a few years in Washington state before traveling to NYC to help with COVID relief.

After traveling for work, Kristen found herself drawn to the DFW area. Kristen enjoys spending her free time outdoors, hiking, biking, jump rope, baking, live music & finding more books to add to her collection!
