Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Similar to acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy (CST) increases the flow of energy within the channels. CST consists mostly of gentle touch that is used to examine the movement of fluids in & around the central nervous system.  Using gentle pressure to the head, neck & spine to remove pain or blockages.

There has been research done to show CST decreasing pain & anxiety for those living with fibromyalgia [Reference 1]. Another study showing a decrease in severity of migraines [Reference 2].

Depending on what one is treating it for, the patient may benefit between 3-10 treatments with some follow up treatments as maintenance.

CST can be useful for:

-Chronic pain

-Fascial adhesions

-Fibromyalgia

-Migraine headaches

-Sinus infections

-Neck pain

-Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

-Constipation

-Whiplash

-TMJ

CST is not meant for those that recently experienced:

-Recent concussion

-Cerebral swelling

-Brain aneurysm

-Blood clots

-Severe bleeding disorders
